Ⅲ. Eligibility

1. First-year Applicants

A. A foreign national whose parents are both foreign nationals and who completed 12 years from primary to high school (or equivalent) in the said country or who have completed the equivalent or more of schooling.
B. Language proficiency: Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Level 3 or higher

2. Transfer Applicants

A. A foreign national whose parents are both foreign nationals and who graduated (or will graduate) two-year junior college or have completed (or will complete) 2 or more years at a 4-year university and have earned academic credits accordingly.
B. Language proficiency: Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Level 3 or higher

Ⅳ. Process

2. Selection

A. No restriction on admissions capacity
B. Document screening is based on the documents submitted by the applicants, such as TOPIK score, cover letter, and the Statement of Purpose.
C. Interview is conducted orally to evaluate the scholastic aptitude of the applicants, focusing on the Korean language proficiency, interest in the major, basic knowledge in the major, and others. If the applicant cannot attend the interview due to unavoidable circumstances, a basic score (20 points) is given.
D. The applicants who receive 70 or more out of 100 points are selected.

12 Evidence of language proficiency - Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) (Level 3 or higher)  

A. All documents are to be in Korean. Any document that is in a foreign language must be translated into Korean and notarized before submission.
B. All certificates issued by a foreign school (diploma, transcript, etc.) must be submitted in original form, with apostille from the government agency designated by the school's jurisdiction. If the country in which the school is located is not an apostille signatory, the certificates must be notarized and confirmed by the Korean consul to the said country, and their original copies and confirmation letters are to be submitted.
C. All applicants with academic background and/or degrees from China may submit the certificate reports issued by the China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Information run by the Chinese Ministry of Education. (www.chsi.com.cn / www.cdgdc.edu.cn)
D. Some of the abovementioned documents may be removed/added for admissions eligibility screening/visa issuance.

3. Payment and Refund

A. Failure to pay within the designated period will lead to cancellation of acceptance.
B. If you decide not to enroll for personal reasons, you must notify the Office of Admission immediately and submit a letter of withdrawal.
C. You cannot cancel your enrollment via phone or orally. You or your guardian must prepare and submit a letter of withdrawal to the Office of Admission.
D. The application fee is non-refundable. The tuition paid will be refunded pursuant to the University protocol provided that the applicant submitted the letter of withdrawal.

Ⅶ. Scholarshi

Ⅷ. Notes for Applicants

1. The photo provided in the application form must be no more than 3 months.
2. The application fee (KRW 50,000) must be paid when you lodge the application form. Once lodged, the documents and application fee will not be returned.
3. If your name in the submitted documents are not identical, you must provide separate evidence that the names belong to one and the same person.
4. Any applicant who has been accepted by illegitimate or illegal means will be rejected and the acceptance will be cancelled. Any current student who has been accepted thus will be rejected and the acceptance will be cancelled even during school term.
5. We must be able to reach the applicant via the contact address or phone number provided in the application form. We are not liable for any disadvantage from incorrect or changed contact address. (Any change of telephone number and address should be notified to the admissions office immediately.)
6. All documents required for admission are to be submitted in original form (if a copy is submitted, it must be compared to the original and confirmed). The original copies of the school diploma and transcript must be submitted, attached with notarized certificates (including the confirmation from the Korean consul of the jurisdiction).
7. Notes concerning entry/exit procedures for foreign nationals - If it is required to submit documents to the relevant institutions for entry/exit for sojourn in South Korea (for the purposes of study), the procedures must be proceeded by the applicant or the legal guardian. The international students who have been accepted must submit the evidence of academic background and the letter of acceptance issued by the President of IJU to the relevant embassy or consulate to be granted visa to study in South Korea.
